Rap-on-Phonics

"They Should have never gave you N*%$#s Money!" Dropped in the beginning of this month, Tity Boi aka 2 Chainz brings music fans his new mix-tape T.R.U. Realigion. For those who have not heard of him before, 2 Chainz is a former member of Playaz Circle. So 2012 is coming, right? okay. I don't have much to say about this tape other than for every intelligent rapper with lyrics that make you think, there is a rapper that brings out the ratchet and hood in all of us. We have Souljah Boy, Young Chris, Young Dro, Waka Flocka, and now 2 Chainz to probably be the newest joke of Southern rappers. Hosted by Dj Drama, this album is filled with basically the typical content that most Southern rappers bring to the rap genre; money, hustlin', grindin', drugs, cars, and flossin'. I'm not going to knock his flow or hustle because it is a sound that has been consistent with many southern rappers. I would recommend Big K.R.I.T over him though. One positive thing I can say about this album is that it is a solid effort from the GA raised rapper and brings back the sounds of the "Dirty South." With features from Trey Songz, Young Jeezy, Dolla Boy, T.I., and more, this is something you can listening to while riding to that one club you know will be filled with twerkers and, at least, one guy dressed in some Coogi.
