Since I havent heard any complaints yet and it is just easier to post the music this way, I am here to deliver some new audio crack for your virgin ears.
"Light Down Low" Bei Maejor ft Waka Flocka Flame- Bei has been doing his thing lately with some smooth and sexy tracks that ladies love and fellas can respect for the mood it sets for their girl. His soft voice works perfect over this club banga and the addition of Waka fits perfect to certify this as a hit. Honestly, the could of thrown anyone on this, even based god, but what makes this song is the tight chorus and beat.
"Melody"-Jaden the Cure ft. Yummy Bingham- A solid track from the young MC. I am not gonna lie, one of the reasons I was drawn to this was the Yummy Bingham feature. I havent heard from her since I was a lot younger with her hit "Come and Get It." Since then she has been laying low, but it is good to see her back on the scene with a dope track.
"King Of Hearts"-Cassie- Finally returning from her almost 6 year hiatus (was she really missed in music?), Cassie is back with a new club/dance track. Her soft vocals are studio enhanced ad compliment this electro-pop beat. A solid track that isn't much to hate on because I wasnt expecting her to come out with any ballads or deep material. Good production though.
"It All Belongs To Me"-Monica and Brandy- The R&B world has been waiting for this reunion ever since the two struck multi-platinum with their smash classic "The Boy is Mine." You could have not been a child in the late 90's and not have been addicted to that song; its ok just admit, no one will judge you. Well now that the ladies have matured and moved on with their respective musical careers, they reunite with some help from Rico Love to give the fans what they have been yearning for. With "The Boy is Mine", the two songbirds were competing with each other for the affection of a shared love (very similar to their music career competition at the time) but with "It All Belongs To Me", the two are empowered "Irreplaceable" style and let their ex know that he can go but the s**t they bought has gotta stay. Although bout women are great vocally (Monica killed it a little bit more than Brandy similar to the "Boy is Mine"), the track is a little over produced and probably will not be as successful as their previous hit. The magic isn't there but vocally these two have grown so much.
"Adorn"-Miguel- After a great debut album, Miguel is back with a new single off his upcoming EP Art Dealer Chic:Vol. 1 set to drop Feb. 27th. Questionable personal style aside, Miguel knows how to make a new age R&B track that blends his distinct soft voice well over a tight beat. This song is perfect to set the mood for the upcoming lover's holiday and, although short, it is a nice preview for what's to come.
"Flex"- Slim- After dropping two hits from his debut solo album, Slim is back with some more smooth R&B tracks. With this new track "Flex" off his latest mixtape Cruisin the City:Vol.1, he stays true to the similar sound he found success with in his first album. His voice is works well over the beat and its a pretty simple song. After listening to this, I can only picture enjoy listening to during the spring time with the windows down and cruising. Anybody else feel this way? Oh, just me...ok, cool.
"My Button"-Shanelle- She speaks?! Shanelle is here with a new track titled "My Button" and the songbird of YMCMB is different in style (aka Janet in the "Runaway" video) but the song is pretty basic. It doesn't take much thought to understand what she is talking about but her soft and harmonic voice are in sync with the nursery rhyme beat. I am eager to hear more from the vocalist, I find her style a little different and unique but this song is a little too "cute" for me.
