Just when you thought it was safe, the G.I. Joes are back, suited up and ready to hit the big screen in the latest installment of the series titled G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The trailer, newly released this week hints at a new villian, Zartan, who is behind a takeover of our nation's government with the help of his accomplices in Cobra and some shadowy figures in government. This film will be directed John M. Chu (Never Say Never, Step Up 2) and will actually feature a star-studded cast of Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson and Ray Park. The Rza is also listed as a supporting actor. I know we have all eagerly been awaiting Marlon Wayan's return to this franchise (sarcasm) since G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra's release in 2009, but unfortunately he will not be returning to this cast. Not terribly excited about this trailer, but hey: be cool to see the new villians, right? Cobra Commander comeback maybe? We shall see. This film will make it's debut June 29, 2012 from Paramount.
