This past season, Fox has been dishing out one animated series after the other. From new the Cleveland show to the new Allen Gregory, Fox has proven that they can give good animated comedic shows (2nd to Adult Swim on Cartoon Network). Now they are trying to capitalize on the indie-hit Napoleon Dynamite. For those who may not know, Napoleon Dynamite is a 2004 movie about a socially awkward nerd named...Napoleon. He lives with his Grandma, middle-aged brother who is equally as weird, and masculine loser uncle on a llama farm in the midwest. What made the movie so funny and appealing is the great comedic performance by actor Jon Heder and the many quotables that would put Anchorman to shame. Although the movie was such a hit, many of the actors have yet to star in a movie that is equally as successful or funny. Trying to reclaim fans dying for a sequel or show, Fox has made an animated series that continues where the movie left out. Using the same original cast as voice actors for the series, it plans to debut in 2012.
