Live n Living Color...Part 5

It has been a minute since you have seen some posts from me (peep some of my reviews at themusicninja.com) but now I am back and here to deliver some old, and new, videos, posts, music, etc. that you all have been waiting for. So without any further delay, enjoy the new playlist of videos that are coming at you "Live n in Living Color"
Nina Sky "HeartBeat"
Singing duo Nina Sky is back with a new visual for their second single "HeartBeat" off their upcoming long-awaited sophomore LP Nicole&Natalie, set to drop July 31st. The video is pretty simple for this feel good dance track and has the twins bringing out some of their hipster friends for some raging in the woods. With some added fireworks, smoking grass, and bonfire effects, it is clear that the duo want you to get lost in the trance and just enjoy yourselves.
"My Homies Still"-Lil Wayne ft Big Sean
Last week, Lil wayne dropped a visual for his chart climbing single "My Homies Still" featuring Michigan native Big Sean. Not really sure what to make of this vid. It is becoming a little clearer to me that Lil Wayne just doesn't give a f*ck anymore or is just throwing in whatever to stay current and "hip" but the video reflects his recent mid-life crisis. Antics aside, the track is still pretty dope and the video is just...

"Mirror" Bobby V ft Lil Wayne
Singer Bobby V. hasn't been able to top the charts or meet the same success that his debut single "Slow Down" has reached but that hasnt stopped him from continuing to romance ladies with his charismatic hooks and R&B panty-dropping rhythms. This month he released a visual for his latest single "Mirror" ft Lil Wayne. The Rob Dad directed video is complete with beautiful model chicks, a toned-up Bobby V, rapper cameos from Red Cafe and Ace Hood (random), lighting effects, and of course plenty of mirrors. It is clear that Bobby V. has been eating his Wheaties as he sports a new blond-streaked hairdo and flexes in the mirror, but I doubt this vid will make the song reach any higher on the pop charts.

"Goin In" J.Lo
After metaphoricall sucking as much star power as she could, as a judge, out of the reality competition show American Idol, Jennifer Lopez is back on top of her music game. With her latest video for the single "Goin In" ft Flo-Rida and Lil John, the Peurto Rican beauty shows off her amazing body and latest dance moves. Coupled with plenty of strobe lights, explosions, hyrdaulics tuned cadillacs, colorful exploding grenades, wolves, scenes from the upcoming Step-Up revolution movie, more strobe lights and J.Lo showing off those curves, it is clear that she is getting in touch with her Hip-Hop days. I am on the fence on the video because it just seems like there is a lot going on, maybe even too much, but the visuals are pretty impressive.

"At the Same Damn Time (Remix)" Future ft Diddy and Ludacris

Future recently released the video for his "At the same damn time (remix)" ft Diddy and Ludacris. This single has been invading club playlists and Hip-Hop radio stations across the nation and the video is...well the song is good. Recruiting Luda was a good move by the Southern emcee but Diddy not such a great look. It is true that this man brought us greats like B.I.G. but I still am not feeling him as a rapper and I wish he would stick to what he is good at, making money through vodka and clothes.

"King Tut" Busta Rhymes ft Reek Da Villain & J-Doe
Returning to boss status and staying on the grind, YMCMB rapper Busta Rhymes dropped his latest video for his single "King Tut" ft Reek Da Villain and J.Doe. The Daniel Czernilofsky directed video tells a story of a kingpin on top his game with model girls in bikini prepping his product and the Brooklyn emcee stacking his paper. When a heist goes down, he manages to outsmart the thieves and remain a bawse. Look out for his upcoming free album dropping later this year.

"Settle Down" No Doubt
After a ten year hiatus from making music together, the alternative band No Doubt finally reunites and drops their latest single and video "Settle Down". The newly platinum blonde band members return to the island sound with their latest release and director Sophie Muller takes inspiration "We Be Burnin" video by adding in plenty of Carribean dancers and arcade lit-up trucks. Although the song isn't really as infectious as their other hits and doesn't really hold the comeback power that they need, it is still good to see them vibin' again together and hopefully their other drops will be strong enough to shoot them back on top of the charts.

Trina "I'm Back (Back 2 Business)"
Scantily clad thick women, suds, party bus, and stripper poles make up this steamy video for "I'm Back(Back 2 Business)" from the Diamond Princess Trina. It is a return to the ratchet and the skin as Trina is backed by some Southern beauties as they wash down cars during the day and party hard at night. I really could go on about the objectification of women but when its coming from a woman herself, it is hard to argue this video down. This is what Trina is coming back with and brought some other female rappers to make a cameo. The vid is a little low budget but when you been in the game for so many years and came to your label with this concept, do you really think the label with give you a million dollar budget?

Lola Monroe-"Goldie(remix)"
The Taylor Gang raptress recently released a vid for her remix to the A$AP Rocky single "Goldie". She does the track justice with her ill rhyme flow and sick bars but the video is low budget. With some magazine covers, other random images, and her chillin on the rocks by the beach in a head scarf (banging body tho), there really isnt much else to go on other than her lyrical skills on the track. Lookout for her mixtape due out later this summer.
