A Star is Born

In rap, it is not common for rappers to dedicate a song to a mother or  living family member without it being a little corny or a flop. This factor was not the case in Jay Z's song "Glory", dedicated to his new baby girl Blue Ivy Carter. Only a few days out the womb and already the baby is a music star with. I am sure that Jay was working on this track in the "9 months" that Beyonce was "pregnant" and the finish product is a heartfelt confessional that his previos work "Lost One" should have been on. Within the song, Jay is opening up about the intimate and personal journey that the two megastars went through in trying to conceive a child and still keeps the theme of a proud, loving parent. It is a rare thing to hear a song about a father caring for his child in the rap world, while keeping it unsweetened and hip. Leave it to Jay to make a beautiful song about the blessing it is to have a child. I just wonder if Beyonce will have any more and what Jay will get them.
