ATL native Big Boi and fashionable rapper Theophilius London team up for a collaborative panty-droppin effort. This Chris Carmouche produced smooth, sexy single titled "She Said Ok", cancels out any form of game and gets directly to the point with lyrics like "Let me see your t!tties..." The bravery and boldness of this track is only emphasized by the chorus provided by Sleepy Brown, i mean, Tre Luce. This track can be heard on Sir Luscious Left Foot's new upcoming album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, and London's upcoming mixtape Escape from Rose Island. Both release dates have yet to be revealed.

In another dose of rappers collaborating, cloud nine rapper Curren$y collabs with Pharrell for this laid back, chill smokers track. Leaked from his upcoming effort Stoned Immaculate, the Jet Life emcee remains consistent with the a dope flow and solid track. Produced by VA's own Pharrell and, with help from auto-tune, he delivers a catchy hook that blends perfect with the beat. This track is nothing too innovative or new from the emcee but it is dope nonetheless.

Childish Gambino has been on his hustle lately with leak after leak and today I bring you two of his newest tracks, "Silk Pillow" ft Beck and "Black Faces" ft Nipsey Hussle. Although many have given him mixed reviews, I have grown to like his latest works and these two new tracks do not disappoint. On "Black Faces", Hussle opens the serious, darker tone track with a sick 16 bar rap flow while Gambino later closes it out with the chorus and rap. It is clear that Glover aka Gambino wants to be taken seriously as a rapper and nothing is more interesting than dragging Beck out of hiatus to collab on the other leak "Silk Pillow". This track takes a less serious tone but still has the darker, somewhat reminiscent sound of Beck's Mellow Gold days with the addition of some rapping. Both tracks are dope and although Gambino needs a bit of refinement in delivery and lyrical flow, he is still a dope emcee.

I have been a big fan of Beck since the 90's. With a brief hiatus, he teams up with Jack White and delivers the country-rock track "I just started hating some people today". This White produced track is complete with guitar rips, harmonica, and some punk. Breaking down into a completely different song  within 4 minutes, Beck returns to the weird rocker we know and love. This is not a comeback hit in the least but is a good reassurance that with the time away from the spotlight, Beck has not changed his interesting yet unique style.

It seems like this past week has been the week for features and unexpected collabos. In the latest release from Grammy winning emcee Omen, the newest single "Homecoming" features lyrical blessings from newcomers A.N.R.D., Skyzoo, and Denzil Porter. This feel good track of making it samples the legendary BIG's "Juicy" lines over a brass and percussion-driven beat. Omen's long-awaited new work Black Hero Theme Musik is set to hit the net June 18th.

Kid Ink has been making a steady buzz on the underground and mainstream over the past year. Personally I do not understand the excess hype and feel that his flow and appeal is generic, but his latest freestyle on the track "Hear them talk" is far from whack.  The dark, bass heavy track is coupled with background yelling and vocals and Ink's dope flow. I am not exactly sure if it the beat or the lyrics, but regardless this Hot New Hip Hop exclusive freestyle is sick. His debut album Up&Away takes off on June 12th.

Bobby V has been relatively quiet as of late. After the not so impressing sales of his last album, Fly On the Wall, he returns with a new leaked track titled "Mirror". This uptempo K.E. on the Track produced single is another dive into the freaky as Mississippi bred singer describes using a mirror to watch a beautiful woman he is having sex with. The addition of Lil Wayne, no relation to his song by a similar name,  with a self-loathing rap has all the makings of becoming a moderate radio hit at best. As the lead single to his upcoming fifth full length album Dusk Till Dawn, I am assuming that Bobby V. is staying to true to his style of light and sex filled R&B.

From a number iTunes downloaded EP to steady releasing videos and new music, former Didy Dirty Money singer Dawn Richard awarded her fans with a new release titled "Wild N' Young". Although this track was leaked a week or so ago, I wanted to keep it current by posting with the new music playlist. The fast paced and percussion heavy blend of electronic, dance, and tribal rhythms is very similar to the previous style of her work on her EP Armor On. Imagine if Sade and Ciara had a baby and you would have an idea of what to expect on this new single. The song is a solid effort from Richard but the production and her voice do not seem to blend to well. Like her other song "Bombs", her unique voice tends to get drowned out but the aggressive beat.

I must admit that I was not exactly a fan from the beginning when I first saw Florence+the machine perform on the 2011 VMA Awards. The unique and intricate style of the UK singer reminded a lot of Bjork but with more psychedelic and theatrical pieces. As of late, I still am on the fence about her work but am growing to like the remixes and features. With the latest remix of her song "Spectrum", electronic mega-producer Calvin Harris adds a dance spin to the Ceremonials track. It is a fun remix, sounds a little generic but still a good effort. What makes this song is Florence's powerful, siren-like voice.

Sbtrkt has really grown on me lately. From his addicting "Wildfire" to his work with Sampha on the single "Hold On", there is something to like about the mix of chill, laid back electronic and quality production. With his latest release "Gamelena", he continues his style of heavy bass beats that are audio crack. Not exactly what a Gamelena is but this early release starts off with a low pulsing beat then quickly picks up tempo while still remaining soft and haunting. Like a mix between the "natural noises of the rainforest" cd's and techno undercurrents, this beat is soothing and dope. Expect more from the Dj/producer soon.

Kirk Randle aka Kirko Bangz has been steadily taking over the radio stations with his hit single "Drank in My Cup". With his latest leaked single "That Pole (Remix)", he recruits the VA performer Chris Brown. This ballad to the "working girl" is nothing less than a hood slow jam that is almost as infectious to the ears as "Drank in My Cup". Although this will not be as big as of a hit as "Drank in my Cup", the addition of Brown is a nice touch and could find its way on the charts.

I have been a fan of Wale since "Nike Boots" days and with his new release "Actin Up" from the upcoming compilation CD, MMG Presents: Self Made Vol. 2, he recruits the help of French Montana and yelling talents of Meek Mill. Although the DC rapper has been a favorite of mine, this church choir , bass heavy beat is a little played out and the chorus is weak. Not really feeling this track and French Montana's verse doesn't really help. This is really a collab effort because Wale has one verse throughout the whole song. I am not really feeling this and from the weak rhymes, I don't think that the other rappers were really feeling it either.

Taking a break from starting beef with VA emcee Pusha T, Wayne leaks a new track titled "My homies Still". I am pretty sure that this track was recorded way before Wayne launched an all out attack on G.O.O.D. music rapper Pusha T because Big Sean is featured on the track. Produced by Street Runner and Sarom, this fast-paced bouncy and skittery beat is becoming Wayne's new signature. As random and schizo as this track is, I am actually kind of feeling it. Sean delivers and kills the beat. The more you listen it, the more it actually starts to grow on you. Whether the beef was a publicity stunt or not, this single trumps the bs drama that Weezy has decided to start. Expect I am Not a Human Being 2 later this year.

Taking into the weird, expressive, and artistic, Badu collaborates with the rock group Flaming Red Lips in the track "First time I ever saw your face". Released in April as part of a double vinyl, one of the standout tracks was a remake to the Roberta Flack hit single of the same name. Not exactly the most uplifting or uptempo single, the heavy and chilling bass rip compliments the soft vocals from Badu. Oddly enough, this song is equally haunting as it is good. The psychedelic video is something to leave you just pondering and continually hitting the replay button as you try to understand what you just witnessed.
